It wasn't only the horses being reigned in at the Melbourne Cup this year! Women everywhere were fighting the desire to kick off their heels, and wiggle bare toes through the cool grass surrounding the racecourse. Some of us reigned in that desire like expert jockeys. We looked down at our satin-clad feet and remembered that even Cinderella was just a dirty cleaning girl without her pretty slipper.
The fashion on the field this year was flirty, bold and bohemian-chic. But wearing hippy-plaits is no excuse for starting the day in head-to-toe glamour, and finishing barefoot and breathless!
