Seize the day... He who hesitates is lost... The early bird catches the worm... A stitch in time saves nine... We’ve all heard it one way or another, but how many of us really take note of it?
Too many times lately I have caught myself worrying about all those nasty little what-ifs. What if he doesn’t like me? What if they don’t appreciate my work enough for a raise? What if my parachute doesn’t open and I just keep falling??
None of it matters anyway. We all make mistakes, and we all get rejected for things occasionally. The important thing is to learn from those experiences and keep trying. Falling doesn’t have to mean failure. You’ve only lost if you don’t get back up and try again.
Knowing is better than wondering. Waking is better than sleeping. And even the biggest mistake beats the hell out of sitting on the sidelines and never living your life.
