...Out With the Old, In With the New...

2009 rolled past so quickly that it left my head reeling and my legs wobbly… or maybe that’s because of all the tequila we slammed for New Years celebrations!

Either way, I’m here this afternoon, slightly worse for wear and in desperate need of sleep. But it’s the first day of 2010 and the sun is shining bright with all the promises a new day brings… how could anyone close their eyes against that sunlight?!

I hope this year doesn't go as fast as last... I was just getting used to being naughty!

Pearls, Laptops, SLR Digital Cameras, Monolo Blaniks, Zoo Venture Tours… Hello Christmas!!!

I don’t think I’ll ever find a man silly enough to marry me, because my family spoil me rotten. Lucky for me, I’ll have all these fancy presents to keep me company when I’m an old, spoiled cat lady!

Hmmm… maybe next Christmas I should ask for a cat?

...Colour Me Happy...

It all started with cartwheels of colour rolling across the lawn to Commonwealth Avenue; as people in their brightest outfits made their way to Foreshore! Deadmau5 and Bloody Beetroots were by far my favourite sets of the day. The music crept up on me and before I knew it, I was just like every other festival junkie… Starving at midnight because I had been too busy dancing to remember to eat!

Loving all these bold colours making their way into Summer! Napolean Perdis is contributing to our human rainbow with his latest set of high-voltage lipsticks ranging from fuschia to coral!

Every girl should have something that packs a punch this season!

...Dance Like Nobodies Watching...

Sometimes you've gotta kick up your feet, throw out your arms and dance your little heart out! But with all the cameras around these days... never take that advice 'dance like nobodies watching' unless you don't care if anyone sees. Because as I learnt last weekend, there is always somebody watching!

...All We Need is Love...

How can anyone profess to be a lover not a fighter? If you are passionate enough to feel an emotion as powerful as love… Then you have the very same impulses for fighting as well. You fight to keep that love alive, you fight to protect the one you love, you fight because that very love you claim, burns you up and leaves you a little bit insane. All is fair in love and war… Because those are the two times when even you don’t really understand yourself. Both love and war leave you unpredictable… a wildcard.

…Emotional…
…Protective…
…Impulsive…

Too many of us strive so hard to separate the two… that we become lost. Alone and incomplete.

I love someone… Just the thought of him makes me giddy, sending butterflies through my belly. When he’s with me; I’m so happy that I can’t imagine wasting time tackling someone to the ground for fisticuffs. All I want is to be with him, doing all that lovey dovey mushy stuff… But first, I have to fight for him, because the good stuff doesn’t come easy.

The juice is worth the squeeze.
